"Guardians of the Boundless Border" is the name of a small organization that strives for an infinitely great good. Lazare, its founder, has been tirelessly fighting for a healthy and successful future for the youth of Nikozi village for several years.
Exceptionally talented athletes live in a village located just one kilometer from occupied Tskhinvali. They have been dreaming of a well-equipped gym and a proper training space for a long time. Despite the insufficient conditions and thanks to selfless work, one of them is already the world champion of Georgia.
Rock climbing is considered one of the healthiest activities in the West, it helps strengthen the spine (better than swimming), engages virtually every muscle in the body, and develops mental skills.
After 7 years of struggle, the organization was given a dysfunctional building in the countryside from the local municipality and managed to partially renovate the space with its own efforts and donations. However, full-fledged training there was still impossible. The walls needed to be plastered and handrails installed, the bathrooms in the building were not functional.
It is for this purpose and an even bigger mission - to promote a healthy life in the villages by developing rock farming, that "Guardians of the Boundless Border" won 8300 GEL at the auction of ideas.
Today, the renovation works of the bathrooms have already been completed in the Nikozi rock club and the renovation of the wall is in the final stage. In August, the organization plans to hold a climbing festival.
