Since 1998, the organization has been committed to identifying interesting new people and active groups in rural areas. Years of experience prove that in every city or village there is a person or a group of people who love their community and want to change their living environment for the better. The program serves to discover and empower such people.

In this section, you will find information about organizations and initiative groups created by people who are constantly thinking and caring about their communities. In addition, you can read here about all those exciting community projects and initiatives that have been funded by the Community Development program since 2012.

“Community development is one of the oldest strategic directions of our activities, which provides for the creation of new community groups in the regions (and especially in rural areas), as well as the support of existing ones. During the years, we’ve been working to identify civil activists or people interested in activism, to unite them in groups and build their capacity. Why are we doing this? Because we want these people and groups to become positive change agents for their communities and villages, we want them to reveal and solve local issues, we want them to provide access to necessary information, non-formal education, and various essential services for the local population.”
